Potato Please vs 1,000,000 Potatoes
In September 2026 two potato-peeling projects collided in public. This page is the timeline and the store differences. It is not a ruling.
Dates
- 25 July 2026. IGN quotes Rado Klasa introducing 1,000,000 POTATOES as a small game about peeling a million potatoes by hand in a cold soviet warehouse.
- 20 September 2026. Potato Please was announced. IGN says a consultant, Indie Game Joe, shared the trailer.
- 21 September 2026. Klasa accused the other project of being cloned and shipped, “probably mostly with a simple AI prompt,” and wrote that it hurt to see a rushed clone reach the market first. Golden Horn answered the same day that they had not seen his game before those posts, that similar concepts are not evidence of copying, and that they could show project files. They also tied the idea to a community potato joke.
- 22 September 2026. The studio posted a short footage reel. Dexerto ran its own article the same day and said Klasa had not answered the denial at the time of writing.
- 3 November 2026. Potato Please released. 1,000,000 POTATOES was still listed as coming soon.

The 60,000 figure is not on the Potato Please store page. It stays in the table with that limit so it is not read as an official quota. I am not placing the two games’ screenshots side by side; a collage would look like a visual verdict the articles do not make.
Questions
Did Potato Please launch first?
Potato Please released on Steam on 3 November 2026. On that same day the Steam page for 1,000,000 POTATOES still said coming soon.
Does this page call it a clone?
It quotes people who used that word. It does not add a verdict.
