Potato Please automation and upgrades
Status: 1 source for prices (a community automation page updated 4 November 2026). Official hotfix text is used only for the mechanical fixes, not for costs. This is a table, not a calculator — there is no published throughput to divide into a payback time.

A buying order that follows the prerequisites
- Rusty Knife (0.30), then Steel Knife (2.70), so hand peeling wastes less flesh.
- Kitchen Table (12) once the steel knife is in. It adds the auto launcher.
- Crank Peel Machine (20), held with the use key, then Auto Peel Machine (280) when the crank is the slow part.
- Sack Gantry (280) to feed the emptiest peeler, then Sack Cableway (1,250) to bring outdoor sacks into the bunker.
- Claw Crane (2,100) to grab the big pile. Crane Autopilot is the next step and has no published price.
- Overclock (1,400) doubles roller speed. Buy it when peelers, not trucks, are the wait.
What the current patch changed on the machines
The 2026-11-05 hotfix 1.0.2 changes the pile recount to every six minutes after buying the crane, or every 2.5 minutes with autopilot. The loudspeaker announces every other recount. The older 1.0.1 interval was three minutes. The earlier 1.0.1 note says a finished potato stuck in a hopper returns to the unpeeled state instead of jamming. Unstuck, wheelbarrow, sack, and repile cooldowns are 60 seconds. Those sentences are the studio’s. They do not reveal the missing prices.
Questions
Why are some prices blank?
Crane Autopilot, Potato Vacuum, Packaging, Wheelbarrow, Winter Coat, and Medication have no printed price in the guide. A blank cell means unpublished, not free and not zero.
Should I buy another conveyor when machines sit idle?
The guide’s bottleneck note: if machines wait for potatoes, add transport. If sacks pile up indoors, the peelers are the bottleneck — Overclock or more peelers, not another conveyor.
